Jess earned her B.A in Biology from UC Berkeley and has since developed a strong interest in neuroscience and psychological research. She is currently a research assistant in Dr. George Slavich’s lab at UCLA, where she supports a stress and multi-omics study. Her research interests focus on how early life stress impacts psychological development through biological pathways such as the gut microbiome. Jess plans to purse a PhD in neuroscience to further investigate these mechanisms and contribute to the development of early interventions. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her bunny, going on nature walks, reading, playing badminton, and cooking!
