Naylan Acosta

Naylan is an undergraduate Psychology student at California State University, Dominguez Hills and a Research Assistant in the RAN Lab. She transferred to CSUDH from Los Angeles City College, where she earned her associate degree. Her research interests focus on childhood and adolescent grief, resilience, and emotional development. Her experience working with youth at A Place Called Home in South Central Los Angeles strengthened her interest in how adversity can impact mental health and development. Naylan plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology, where she hopes to continue conducting research focused on children and adolescents. In her free time, Naylan enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, exploring Los Angeles, and spending time with her 8-year-old nephew
